The grids

You will be supplied with a set of grids to match your chosen deck ratio (4:3 vs. 16:9), every slide must have a content grid behind the design. Any slide designed without a grid will be rejected. Content developers need to know the grid template to use when building slides within the LivePreso platform.

Always paste the desired grid from the grids template document into the grid layer of the slide design document. You can choose from a wide range of grid templates that cater for a variety of design possibilities, these must be adhered to.

Be as pixel perfect as possible, this will help content developers determine what styles are common across your content, and allow them to create a solid set of common styles for development.

Grey shaded panels indicate content areas. Paragraph text will comfortably fit on grids up to 6 columns. Text formatting may be compromised beyond 6 columns. 7 - 15 column grids are useful when creating graph diagrams.

Blue shaded panel (A) indicates an image area or a space to add a background colour to content.

There are several image area guides to choose from including vertical and horizontal formats. The horizontal image guides can be cut and pasted over any of the column grids. For example a slide design may require a 1/3 horizontal image area with a 6 column content grid. Simply paste the image guide required into the column grid required.

Customised image sizes and positioning are allowed if required by the slide design. Do not feel restricted but try to be consistent where possible.

The line grid (B) is a useful guide for creating slides that need to separate key points. Remove lines as required to suit the number and depth of rows needed. These lines can be pasted over any column grid.

The table grid (C) is a guide to creating basic tables. Calculate the number of cells required and remove the lines that are not needed. Add background colours as required.
